1. Introduction
Arinova ("we," "us," "our") operates Tejas, a mobile and web platform used by parents and guardians to stay connected with their child's school — including daily diary updates, school events, and where enabled by the school, live classroom viewing. Tejas is a technology platform that schools use to communicate with parents. Arinova does not own the information displayed through Tejas. The school your child is enrolled at is the owner and controller of student and parent information — Arinova operates the platform on the school's behalf and processes information only to provide the service, following the school's instructions.
This policy is written to align with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act), and the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

2. Our Role: Service Provider, Not Data Owner
- Arinova acts as a data processor for Schools. The School is the data controller — it decides what information is collected and why. Arinova does not independently own, sell, or use information for its own purposes outside of operating the Tejas platform as instructed by the School.
- If you have questions about why certain information is collected or how your School uses it, please contact your school.
3. Who Can Use Tejas ?
- Tejas is accessed by parents or legal guardians who are 18 years of age or older.
- Only Parents authorized by their school can login into the Tejas app. There is no self-registration for parents nor guardians, and Tejas does not offer an in-app sign-up process.
- App access is off by default. Your School's administrator must individually enable access for each parent through the Tejas Admin Portal before that parent can log in. Arinova does not create or grant access on its own.
- Tejas is not directed at children. Children do not create their own accounts, log in, or interact with the app directly.
- All information about a child within Tejas is provided by the School or by their parent/guardian, and is reviewed and controlled by the parent/guardian within the app.
4. Information Processed Through Tejas
- About you: Your name, email address, and phone number are provided to Arinova by your School as part of your child's enrollment and parent records — you do not register this information with Arinova yourself. We use it solely to deliver a one-time passcode for login; passwords are not stored, and one-time passcodes are single-use.
- We may retain a temporary authentication token or device identifier solely for session security; these are deleted when access is disabled.
- We may collect basic device and usage data (app version, device type, crash logs, general interaction data).
- About your child: Name, date of birth or age, grade/class, profile photo, diary entries, attendance, school events, and where enabled, live classroom camera access are provided to Arinova by your School. We process this information solely to deliver the Tejas service to you as a parent or guardian.
- We do not knowingly collect information directly from a child.
4A. App Permissions and Device Data
- Camera: Requested to capture profile photographs.
- Photo Library: Requested to upload profile photos or share photos in school communications.
- Notifications: Requested to deliver diary updates, school events, and announcements.
- Location Services: Requested to accurately input your home address and used only if your School uses school transport/logistics features. Used only to support transport tracking via Google Maps.
- Device Identifiers: Collected to troubleshoot crashes, improve app performance, and prevent fraud. Not used for targeted advertising.
5. How Information Is Used
- To display your child's daily school activities, like diary entries, attendance, events, and (where applicable) live classroom access
- To authenticate your account and secure access to your child's information
- To communicate service updates and, with your consent, other communications
- To maintain and improve the security and reliability of the app
- To comply with legal obligations
- Arinova does not use information for advertising and does not build advertising profiles of children. We do not sell personal information.
6. Parental Access and Control
- You may review information about your child at any time within the app.
- You may request correction of inaccurate information via your School or Arinova.
- You may request deletion of information you provided (such as a profile photo).
- You may request that your access to Tejas be disabled at any time, by contacting your School directly.
- Arinova will immediately revoke the parent's ability to log in upon verified request from the parent or the School, and will notify the School.
- Disabling access permanently revokes your ability to log in to the app using your current credentials. Because your access is provisioned and enabled by your School rather than self-registered with Arinova, the underlying student and parent records remain part of your School's own records and are not deleted by Arinova — consistent with our role as a processor described in Section 2. Your School determines how and when access is re-enabled.
- We will verify that any request concerning a child's data comes from that child's parent or guardian before acting on it.
7. Data Sharing & Third Parties
- Arinova does not sell personal data. Information is shared only as necessary to operate Tejas on the School's behalf.
- We share data with: hosting and infrastructure providers, and Google Maps API (for transport features only).
- All third-party service providers are contractually required to protect this information and are prohibited from using it for advertising or marketing.
7A. Third-Party Services and Analytics
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google): Collects anonymized crash logs and app performance data. Not used for advertising.
- Firebase Analytics (Google): Collects anonymized usage analytics to improve the app. No personal information is shared.
- Google Maps API: Used solely for school transport/logistics features. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- AWS: Secures authentication tokens and app data. Does not use your data for advertising.
- Important: We do not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) for cross-app tracking. No data is sold to advertising networks.
8. Data Retention
- Information is retained for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide Tejas's services, consistent with your School's retention requirements.
- If you wish to disable your access to Tejas, please contact your School directly. Since parent access is provisioned and enabled by your School rather than through self-registration, disabling access ends your ability to log in to the app; retention of the underlying academic and enrollment records remains governed by your School's own retention policies and applicable law.
9. Data Security
- We use industry-standard security measures, including encrypted storage and transmission, to protect information processed through Tejas.
- Access is restricted to authorized personnel who need it to operate the service.
10. International Transfers
- Data is primarily processed and stored in India for all Indian Schools and in the specific countries where the school operates.
- If data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by applicable law.
11. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
- Tejas is a tool for parents, guardians, and Schools — not a service directed at or marketed to children.
- We commit to: processing only information the School or parent provides, never using a child's information for targeted advertising, never conditioning access on unnecessary information disclosure, and assisting with deletion upon verified request.
- There is no option on Tejas App for children to create accounts or provide information directly.
12. Your Rights
- Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to opt out of marketing communications.
- Contact us at privacy@arinova.com, or your School directly for information they control, to exercise these rights.
13. Updates to This Policy
- We may update this policy when new features become active or when required by law.
- Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised date, and where required by law, we will notify you directly or request fresh consent.
14. Contact Us
- For requests concerning a child's information or for questions about information your School controls: please contact your child's School directly.

- Apple App Store (iOS): This app complies with Apple's App Store Review Guidelines, including no IDFA collection for tracking, no targeted advertising to children, no data sales, and encrypted transmission.
- Tejas App does not have provision for in app registration or sign up. All parent accounts are provisioned and enabled by the School, and the School is the data controller for all information processed through Tejas.
- Arinova/Tejas will disable you access on verified request from you, but the underlying student and parent records remain part of your School's own records and are not deleted by Arinova — consistent with our role as a processor described in Section 2.
- Google Play Store (Android): This app complies with Google Play policies, including no advertising IDs for targeted advertising, Families Policy compliance, clear third-party disclosure, and respect for Android privacy settings.
